I am a storyteller. In all of my work in theatre, education, and nonprofits, I pay careful attention to the fullness of the human experience and convey that to the audience with sensitivity, honesty, and care.

I am passionate about people in all of their quirky glory. I love to create spaces for people to be fully themselves and to be loved for who they are. Whether that’s in a classroom, in a theatre, or around a dining room table, I love to listen, to discover, and to share life and ideas with others.

I have worked in diverse settings - from college classrooms to arts organizations to faith-based nonprofits - for more than two decades. This wide experience has given me a unique lens to understand the needs of people as well as organizations, and has taught me how to be incisive and insightful in challenging situations. I have a BFA in Theatre Directing and an MA in English Literature (emph. Dramatic Literature) from Abilene Christian University and an MFA in Theatre Directing from Ohio University.

I am married to Mark and we have three beautiful children.
